Description
Cards are printed in the HID INK-1000 printer using inkjet technology. This technology, significantly different from the standard dye-sublimation technology found in card printers, ensures 100% print coverage of the card area. In connection with the low failure rate, the overall operating costs, as provided by the manufacturer, are exceptionally advantageous compared to competing solutions.
The printer is capable of printing 100 cards within an hour, and for proper operation it only needs an ink cartridge, namely 4 ink colors (cyan, magenta, yellow, black). The print head is integrated with the cartridge. Thus, there is no process of gradual loss of print quality caused by the progressive wear of the head, because it is regularly replaced.
